Rescue Resources
As the popularity of the Siberian Husky has grown over the years, there has also been an unfortunate increase in Siberians relinquished to animal shelters and rescue groups, or even abandoned when they became too unruly for their owners to handle. The SHCA believes that rescue is an important—if unfortunate—part of breed preservation and that all Siberians deserve to have loving, safe homes with people who understand them. We have gathered information here to help people looking for a Siberian to rescue, as well as those who bought that beautiful blue-eyed puppy without understanding what they were in for as the dog grew into a naughty adolescent. If you are unable to keep your Siberian due to changing life circumstances, we want to help you, too. And if you are here because you want to help Siberians in need, we’ve got resources for you!
